ISU’s Brock Stewart out for the season

Submitted by on March 25, 2012 – 7:16 pm

Illinois State head coach Mark Kingston told the Pantagraph on Saturday that Brock Stewart (Normal West ’10) has had surgery on his broken foot and will be out for the season. He noted that the injury happened soon enough so that Stewart will be redshirted this year. As noted in the Redbird preview episode of Cornball, Coach Kingston was counting on Stewart to fill many roles this season. His bat was his biggest asset, but he was counting on him to play almost every position except catcher this season — that included some time on the mound.

Brock Stewart will miss the rest of the 2012 season
